So my dad has an iMac that's the late 2008 model I think (it's the white model made right before the aluminum's came out), and it's getting a little old for him in my opinion, cause he always wants to be on the latest and greatest. So I thought about building him a Hackintosh, but without it being an All-In-One it just doesn't have that iMac feel, i think he'll be looking for.
So, I found some hardware and just wanted to know if they would work by chance?
First is the motherboard there are 2 models of this kind of motherboard:
The GA-B75TN
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128588
The GA-H77TN
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128587
I know there are DSDT's for the H77-WiFi models so I would think that the H77TN might be compatible.
Then there's the AIO Case:
CTL M780
http://ctl.net/ctl-mitac-7-series-24-inch-class-l5-bare-bones-all-in-one-m780/
So of course it'd be running an Ivy Bridge, which I'm hoping will be supported by Apple for a while, and it'd probably be just an i5 in it, and ya, just wanted some input.
Thanks!
