My next task will be to "hang" the HDD in the middle of the case.
Or maybe to put it on the 5.25" place with rubber adaptor, to try to suppress all possible vibration.
Now that I run on SSD, I can hear clearly the HDD.
Before, on my old mac, it never bothered me, it was "normal".

Anybody here would have some experience with this kind of things ? 51XJDNZUbkL.jpg

or rubber silentblocks, to mount in the 5.25" cage 51Y+ktnL1lL._AA300_.jpg

or more accrobatic DriveOnSide.jpg

I moved my HDD to the top of the case, hanged with rubber bands (the ones used for clothing. It works perfectly!)
And I redid my cable management.
Now I have a much better airflow, less "air noise" (I removed the HDD cage), and I don't have anymore the vibration (maybe it was the HDD, or the HDD cage. Both are solved)

Hi Thierry37

i will have soon the same configuration except the ram to 4 giga

your computer seems to run cool my question is did you try the sound in 7.1 or 5.1 with this motherboard and is it working

thank you

Thierry

Sorry. I am only running a 2.0 basic ccheap speakers.
I don't even know if the audio 5.1 or 7.1 can run on hackitosh.
I would recommend you to ask in the sub forum "audio". They surely know there.

I have Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3P with i5-3570K

I had exactly same problem with USB 3.0 ports (USB3.0 devices works, USB2.0 devices not works).

But today I have try solution from this thierry37's post:
http://www.tonymacx86.com/general-help/77695-usb-3-not-working-6.html#post597465

Just install "USB 3 Universal" from Multibeast 5.3.1.
All 3.0 ports are working! With any devices! I'm happy!

UPDATE: this driver breaks sleep mode for me. (((

Hi Lexem,
I'm happy that it worked for you.

Concerning the sleep mode, it was never working for mine.
From the very beginning I was using PleaseSleep utility, which is working great.
Maybe you could try it.

Hi Guys,
I would like to inform you that I just updated to 10.8.5 and everything works ok! You have to install with multibeast only audio driver before rebooting. MB Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3P.

I'm still on 10.8.3 like when I resinstalled in February.
I was always bit afraid to upgrade and mess up with my working system.
You only reapplied the audio in MB? Nothing else ?

is there anything really needed in 10.8.5 to "force" me to update ?

I don't want to guarantee you that no problems will rise. For example I have not tested USB 3.0(I don't have any device), but normal USB v2 is ok. I have not tested ethernet connection too. I think there is nothing that forces you to update. Just wanted to let you know that in my case it went everything (I need) ok.
