Tascam Us2400 with OSX 10.6.8 and P7P55d

I have a Hackintosh with Lion 10.7.3 and Pro Tools 10.0.2

US-2400 is set to Mackie mode.
The USB connector is in it's own USB port on the motherboard's rear ports

I have played with the HUI settings many times. over the last 1.5 years in fact. Today I finally got everything working!
SCRUB WHEEL, Pan knobs/indicators respond, Volume faders respond, Meter LEDs respond to volume, SEL MUTE and SOLO all work and respond and illuminate, All transport functions operate correctly and LEDs respond to actions, IN and OUT set the "punch IN and OUT" beautifully. I'm so happy because I have a huge custom made console that houses the US-2400 and have zero intentions on replacing it anytime soon.

It is crucial that you make sure the HUI you select and target to the US-2400 are the first three US-2400. Mine didn't work for over 2 years and it was because I had my Tranzport as the first HUI. Just FYI... Also, notice the HUI colors, these colors are indicated by an outline around your track names. For instance, all 8 tracks for CH#2 HUI are outlined using a yellow box in the MIX and EDIT windows.

My settings are posted in attachment. Also attached is a pic of the US-2400 installed as a fluch-mount console mixer instead of as a table-top

Many thanks my friend.

You seem to have a normal MacPro :)

Yes, my settings are correct, the same as yours, but I fidsome erratic behaviour.
I have to change the latency inside the Audio Engine in ProTools to have all faders in the correct position and then put it back at the right value (i.e 1024 samples), but all LEDS and faders quite erratic. I tried a PCIe USB card with TI chipset, no change. I tried another video card (GEFORCE 8400), no change.
I tried the very same Tascam on an older hack with 775 socket, and it worked great.
it seems I can have some problems with my kexts or my BIOS settings.
I compared the two systems and i.e. my "IO" kexts (IOUSB, IOUSBSTORAGE and so on) are newer (2010) than the same 10.6.8 installation I have on my MacBook Pro (tascam 100% working) and my friend hack machine (tascam 100% working). Same configuration PT 10.0.2 in all 3 machines.
Maybe I have to replace the kexts with an older version but sincerely don't know how. Not experienced like the majority of guys here :)
or maybe may friend suggests me to put a new SSD drive into the mobo, disconnect all other drives and try a new and fresh 10.6.4 install then combo update with Software Updater.
Don't know. Many months of troubleshooting on 2 identical machines P7P55D but no success. :(

Anyway thanks everybody
