You need the DSDT patches to make the battery manager work correctly (actually, it makes the DSDT work correctly on OS X).

To apply a patch:
- open your DSDT
- click Patch
- select a patch from my repo (ex. "HP Spectre XP" for battery
- click Apply
- click Close
- click Save As, /Extra/dsdt.aml, format: ACPI Machine Language Binary

i dont see the HP Spectre XP option in this repo

Report back here... I'd like to know what is involved there... Lately, I've seen Clover's autopatching magic hurt more than it is helping.

and also im buying a new wifi card, i hear this one is common and compatible.

As long as it passes any BIOS whitelist that may be implemented... For HP laptops it is better to find one that is HP branded.
