Well after 2 years i have successfully dualbooted OSX mountain Lion on HP Envy 6T.:D now i only need help with some small details and Kexts.

i need help with

  • Brightness Control Using fn + f2 & f3
(i dont know about DSDT or PNLF)

  • better clickpad support
(the current drivers i have does support multitouch jesters but i cant hard click the pad, only light double tap)

  • Wifi is totally incompatible ill buy another chip (i use a slow usb wifi):|

  • Sleep & power Management
(Sleeping causes white frozen screen, goes back to normal on keypress)

  • ATI Radeon 7670m video card
(i think im half way there i installed some kexts and my osx boots a weird 4 split screen on one screen untill i boot with graphicsenabeler=no

if someone can help me with these issues i would be very grateful

See: https://github.com/RehabMan/Laptop-DSDT-Patch

PNLF patch is "Brightness Fix"

As far as keybindings, that is unrelated, see below...

What trackpad is in your laptop?

What WiFi is it?

Have you implemented power management? http://www.tonymacx86.com/mountain-...nagement-sandy-bridge-ivy-bridge-laptops.html

  • ATI Radeon 7670m video card
(i think im half way there i installed some kexts and my osx boots a weird 4 split screen on one screen untill i boot with graphicsenabeler=no

Switched graphics system, only option is HD3000 and ignore/turn off the 7670.

  • the wifi is Broadcom bcm4313 and i have looked everywhere and tried everything so far and all say it's incompatible and nothing works.

  • The trackpad is Synaptics PS/2 Port ClickPad Some hardware id's
*SYN1E00
*SYN0002
*PNP0F13
*syn1e7e

how do i disable The AMD video card and enable my Intel 3000 with qe/ci

also, theres no hp envy 6T but the HP-Envy-DV6 has similar specs only difference is touchpad instead of clickpad and intel 4000 instead of intel 3000 can i use this for my laptop?

BCM4313 is not supported. You need to replace it with something that is compatible with OS X.

You should install my Synaptics driver: https://github.com/RehabMan/OS-X-Voodoo-PS2-Controller

If BIOS provides an option for disabling it, that is best. But if you already have OS X installed, you can also leave it enabled for use in Windows (dual-boot).

Have you implemented DSDT patches for HD3000 or do you already have HD3000 working? What is your screen resolution?

I'm not sure what you mean by "this"??

the touchpad drivers work great! thanks!

my resolution is at full res (1366 x 768) but osx reports that i only have have 64 mb, plus theirs no QE/CI

and i was saying that on this website https://github.com/RehabMan/Laptop-DSDT-Patch

theirs no DSDT patch for my laptop, should i use one with similar specs like the HP-Envy-DV6?

You don't have HD3000 drivers yet. Run DPCIManager for a "PCI List." We need to know for sure the HD3000 is active and we need to know what chipset your board is (6-series or 7-series). From there, you can patch your DSDT to activate the HD3000.

The model specific patches are only for battery status. One of those may work for your laptop, but I would have to see the DSDT. Post your ioreg and I"ll take a look: http://www.tonymacx86.com/audio/58368-guide-how-make-copy-ioreg.html

not sure how to export only pci list i think this is the whole export View attachment 70400

For the PCI List, take a screen shot (although I think I can tell it is 7-series from your ioreg)

For HD3000 and your 1366x768, you should:
- use MaciASL to apply "TNOT Fix", "HD3000 Low Resolution" and "Brightness Fix"
- also, I'm pretty sure your board is 7-series, so you will need "HD3000 on 7-series" patch as well
- optional: "Rename GFX0 to IGPU"
- change your /Extra/org.chameleon.boot.plist to use GraphicsEnabler=No
- remove any device-properties string you have in /Extra/org.chameleon.boot.plist

For battery status, I recommend:
- remove VoodooBattery
- ACPIBatteryManager.kext: https://github.com/RehabMan/OS-X-ACPI-Battery-Driver
- apply DSDT patch "HP Spectre XT"
- apply DSDT patch "AC Adapter Fix"

Also, you should review this post: http://www.tonymacx86.com/mountain-...nagement-sandy-bridge-ivy-bridge-laptops.html

Your ioreg currently indicates NullCPUPowerManagement is installed which will cause issues with sleep, battery life, heat, etc.

Sorry for late reply, i had to reinstall OSX, now how do i apply those patches. The TNOT Fix", "HD3000 Low Resolution" and "Brightness Fix?

At my laptop repo (previously posted) are instructions for setting up MaciASL. After that, you load your DSDT, and select each patch from the left when you choose Patch. Click apply to make the changes. When you're done, you save your finished DSDT to /Extra/dsdt.aml (format: ACPI Machine Language Binary) and try it.
