Yosemite is good but for Z87-HD3, it's not as easy as that while installing Maverick. So I am writing down how I make Yosemite run on my Z87-HD3. (Most builds uses clover, I tried both MultiBeast and Clover without any success. Finally, I found out the problem.) I'm gonna show you how i could make works Yosemite in my computer after NUMEROUS test and reinstall the system more than DOZEN times.

My PC Specs:
- Gigabyte GA Z87-HD3
- Intel i5 4440 3,1 GHz
- Gigabyte Nvida Geforce GTX 650 (1 GB)
- 1 A-data 8GB DDR3 1333 MHz
- A-data SX905 SSD 128GB (Yosemite)

What you will need:
- USB (8GB min) / I use 16G TF on USB Card Reader
- Yosemite OS (App Store)

- MultiBeast (7.0.5) - http://www.tonymacx86.com/downloads
- MultiBeast (6.1.0) - http://www.tonymacx86.com/downloads

Let's go to start:

1. Follow Tony's Guide from Step.1 ~ Step 3.
Tony's Installation Guide here. (http://www.tonymacx86.com/445-unibeast-install-os-x-yosemite-any-supported-intel-based-pc.html)

*Note. First, you need to use IGFX (Integrated Graphic chip on board to install.) Remember to change the bios setting.

2.
STEP 4: Install OS X Yosemite

You're almost done! All you need to do is boot from the USB drive and install!

Turn on the computer
Press the hotkey to choose boot device (usually F12 or F8)
Choose USB-HDD
At the Chimera Boot Screen, choose USB

Type : -x PCIRootUID=1, maxmem=8192, npci=0x2000
or try PCIRootUID=1, maxmem=8192, npci=0x2000
or try -x
and hit Enter

5.6.~~~Do as Tony's instructions.

STEP 5: Post-Installation Using MultiBeast

MultiBeast is an all-in-one post-installation tool designed to enable boot from hard drive, and install support for Audio, Network, and Graphics. In addition it includes System Utilities to repair permissions and a collection of drivers and config files. The installation is complete, but the drive isn't bootable yet. Boot from the USB again, this time choosing Yosemite.

1. Turn on the computer
2. Press the hotkey to choose boot device
3. Choose USB-HDD
4. At the Chimera Boot Screen, choose your new Yosemite installation.

It will take 3-5 minutes in the Apple LOGO, but
if You get stuck while booting in the apple logo, consider to change your IGFX to PCIE-1 in bios.
in combination with the args.
-x PCIRootUID=1, maxmem=8192, npci=0x2000
or try PCIRootUID=1, maxmem=8192, npci=0x2000
or try -x

5. Complete OS X Yosemite setup

6. MultiBeast 7 ( DSDT Free) and MultiBeast 6 ( Driver-Audio-892)

8. If you wanna install Paragon NTFS, MAKE SURE YOU USE THE NEWEST VERSION(v12) OR it will CRASH the booting.

9.Restart and boot without any args.

Hello,

First post here.

I'm using the same motherboard & Yosemite but I'm encountering a number of problems so I would like to ask you :

Do your USB3.0 ports all work?
Is an iPad or iPhone (recent model with lightning connector) recognized and works with iTunes? On which ports?

Do you have a Wifi N dongle or better (AC?) that works in Yosemite?

Thanks for your research.
3xC.
