Hello guys i'm new here.. and i would like to know how to install sierra on my asus x58 with intel i7 950...
i tried creating the usb but i got kernel panic error "ahci"..
please help me with bios settings and making a correct usb for installation..

I'm assuming u have a working hack.
i used the boot files supplied on tonys first post to build usb drive..
then adjusted my setting to my build , i use mac pro 5.1
is your (current) OS X install booting?

i first changed my machine to imac 14.2
downloaded the files (based on my system)
downloaded the beta (after setting to iMac 14.2)
generated the installer usb based in my setup
for x58 i only needed to add PctrootUID=0 the get to installer
after install booted ok
but....when i installed the nvidia web driver(for sierra)
no booting i get the black background with the white apple. progress bar goes half way then reboots
in obviously missing a setting or kext....
a work in progress....
methinks a little more reading.....

Hi Guys, could you share your bios settings for the sabertooth x58? I have had el capitan working lovely on it for months, got a new xeon cpu for it and had to reset the bios cant get it to boot now.... assuming that the change from an i7 920 to a xeon is not the issue... but i do remember that i had to use specific settings to get it to boot.

once im back online im updating it to sierra!

I can't install Sierra High on my system which is running El Capitan now. I created a USB with unibeast and Sierra high on it.
When I boot, everything goes OK. I reach the part of the install where I can format my HD. Then when I start the install, it starts with 19min, but then suddenly jumps to 9 min...then 4 min. Reaching 2min, the system stops. What can be wrong?
