Thank you for your guide once agian but somehow this time I can not get USB 3.0 Ports to work :( I installed multibeast increase max port limit and then I placed kext to the folder 10.13. I somehow don't know how to add missing kexts like yours.

those aren't kexts you did it right though. Now you just need to copy the kext files so it looks like this picture

those are kexts.

Re read:
Post Install - Step 12
Download USBInjectAll.Kext https://bitbucket.org/RehabMan/os-x-usb-inject-all/downloads/ (get the newest one)

Download FakePCIID_XHCIMux.Kext and FakePCIID.kext https://bitbucket.org/RehabMan/os-x-fake-pci-id/downloads/ (get the newest one)

Download X99_Injector USB 3.kext (attached at bottom of guide post)

Copy USBInjectAll.Kext, FakePCIID_XHCIMux.Kext, FakePCIID.kext & X99_Injector USB 3.kext to EFI > Clover > Kexts > 10.13

Now you will have enabled USB with full support for 3.0! (Credit goes to crismac2013 via his post on Page 10, his post described how to properly enable USB 3.0.)

Note: From my understanding USBInjectAll.Kext works with X99_Injector USB 3.kext to enable usb 3.0 support on x99 motherboards. This works in conjunction with the Multibeast "Increase Max Port Limit" patch for full support. FakePCIID_XHCIMux.Kext and FakePCIID.kext are used to determine which devices are USB 3.0 and which are 2.0. If you do not use FakePCIID_XHCIMux.Kext and FakePCIID.kext everything will look like it is a USB 3.0 device under System Report even if it isn't. With these kexts installed only true USB 3.0 devices will be detected as so when plugged into a 3.0 port. The rest will fall under USB 2.0.

Hey Malki, thanks for the guide, always helping!

That might sound noobish, but I'm actually stuck at the install. My "Install High Sierra" is not showing in clover boot manager. I've already tried twice to make the thumb drive, following your steps precisely. I wonder if has something to do with 10.13.2? Or maybe some other .efi file? I noticed that I'm missing HFSplus.efi on my drivers folder.

Already searched in the forum, no clues...

BTW, did you go with APFS?

Same setup as yours, before the 1080ti upgrade.

Thanks in advance

so let me get this straight, its booting into clover, but when clover boots it does not find the installer partition on the usb?

That is pretty strange.

Here's what I did off the top of my head:

0. Reformatted my installer usb. Completely cleared it of any data that was on there. If that doesn't work try another usb stick.
1. downloaded high sierra from mac app store
2. downloaded newest unibeast from tonymacx86 (make sure you get high sierra version)
3. Followed the tonymacx86 install guide for unibeast High Sierra, which is pretty straightforward
4. Downloaded clover configurator
4. After this, i had some trouble. This is why I took a little longer than I wanted to make the guide for this update. Since I installed apfs formatted, it seems "Efi Mounter 3" doesn't seem to recognize the partitions the same. Efi mounter 3 is a key part of my install guide so it threw me off. Luckily i *think* the efi partition of the drive is already mounted when you install unibeast. So I just copied the kexts like in my guide to the folders needed, and changed settings as needed with clover configurator. If it doesn't mount, just go with the first selection in the list, and if you see a clover folder you should be good. Otherwise you need to use terminal to look up what partitions are what and mount the efi partition of the usb drive according to what it says. type in "diskutil list" (without quotes) in terminal to see all drive partitions.
5. Once that was done, I continued on and clover booted the installer first try.

I actually already tried updating clover, updating apfs.efi, plugging the thumb drive on multiple ports (2.0 and 3.0).

Trying a larger thumb drive at this point.

I think you need HFSplus.efi for clover to see the installer partition. That may be the only problem. Just copy that in and your good. (or maybe not I forgot its apfs file system) but still try to get that file. You can download it within clover configurator it will copy to the right folder and everything.

To be clear, that's what's going on {image attached} before I even get to the fresh install, booting on a 16gb or 32gb thumb drive.

Tried installing every .efi I could possibly think of. Tried detaching every sata cable except for the install destination ssd.

Do you think any bios settings could be the reason for it, malki?

[SOLVED: Don't use any alternative method to download the installer from Apple. Find a mac that downloads the 5.19gb version though the app store and it'll work. Thanks malki! Now ready to install]

Hey Malki, it's me again, now for the big issues

[SOLVED (learning a lot today): If you by any chance update clover, don't forget to copy the kexts already installed with Unibeast to the updated Clover folder inside the EFI partition!!! In other words, follow malki's guide to the T and you'll be fine!

Malki, You're a hero, man. I've spent the last hours tuning everything and I'm almost sure that everything works flawlessly. Thank you very much once again!]

About 3-4minutes in I get to this Service exited with abnormal code: 1. It doesn't restart, though. Keeps giving me these "kestd stall: 'AppleAPCICPU'" each 240s.

Ever ran into something like this when trying to get to the installer? I've tried nv_disable=1 already but I guess it might be something to do to fooling the installer about my CPU?

Thanks!

Hi, I haven't been able to boot the installer. It keeps going to the old Yosemite bootloader

Only conclusion i can come to is because i wasn't able to download full installer through the App Store. As i was getting a 19Mb file after some research was able to download via the High Sierra Patcher ( http://osxdaily.com/2017/09/27/download-complete-macos-high-sierra-installer/ )

My 2009 MacbookPro is also not able to download from appstore as it is "incompatible"

Thanks
