Can anyone help me get my system running? I finally got version 4 of the BIOS loaded, but need to confirm the BIOS settings. It is hanging after I click the OS X drive.....

Have the same build, but I can't quite get the GPU running. When I put it in, even with GraphicEnabler=no it keeps freezing at the Appel Logo. Any leads?

I had the same Problem. I just had to update Chameleon to newest Version and it worked for me :)

I'm having the same problem, can only boot in Safe Mode. I just installed Chimera 2.2.1 in an attempt to fix it, assuming that's what you meant by the latest version of Chameleon since I don't see any software called that on this site.

Gigabyte Z87N-WIFI
Intel Core i&-4771 3.5 Ghz processor
16 GB Ram
onboard video

Any suggestions appreciated, especially intelligent ones. :)

Terry

Fixed it. I had to select Chimera from within MultiBeast. Doh!

Thanks for all the posts.

Wow, thanks for sharing. This is almost the exact build i'm planning in the next several weeks. Only changes are 8gb of memory and a EVGA 760.

Also do you have wireless working on the mb? I read somewhere that people were having issue with it. (hoping that info is wrong)

Gigabyte's wireless chipset is not compatible with Apple's OS X. See the Network forum section for more information on the subject. :thumbup:

Thanks for sharing your Multibeast options. I am also using the Gigabyte Z87n Wifi Motherboard and Intel i5 4670k cpu. I was able to get Mavericks installed and running without too many hiccups.

Hi All,

I'm building a Hackintosh for the first time, I think all the help and guides provided here are the best you can find on the net, Thanks to all of you who have provided us with the tools.

I'm willing to learn in the process but I need some advice/clarification here:
I have:
  • Already assembled a minideluxe as per November's 2013 Guide, same as JJiG
    .
  • downloaded Mac OSX Mavericks, Unibeast and Multibeast
  • Created the bootable USB
  • Installed Mavericks
  • Ran Multibeast.... and here is where I'm stuck.

It is not clear to me if I should choose EasyBeast, UserDSDT, or DSDT Free.
I understand there is no DSDT files available for download in this website yet, right?. So I followed JJiG's recommendations in the first post of this thread.

Some things are not working at all... no Bluetooth, no Internet connection (LAN cable), No sound... and can't reboot directly on the Hard Drive ( I will work on this as is a known problem
Code:
"[COLOR=#3E3E3E][B]boot0: error[/B]"[/COLOR]
)

Is it possible for any of you "Great Gurus of the tonymacx86 Sacred Temple" to give me advice on DSDT / Multibeast settings for this particular Build?

Best Regards and Thanks in Advance!

Nando

UPDATE DAY 2
the hackintosh gods have seen my suffering, and gave me some hope...

  • Have managed to get Audio, but still no Bluetooth or Internet connection... I guess I could use some guidance from users with the same GA-Z87N-wifi.

more updates as I make progress....
