Re: ASRock Z68M-ITX+i5 2500k+ Silverstone SG05B

After borking my system trying to get sleep to work, I reinstalled everything from scratch again. Took me 30 minutes to have a fully functional config with HDMI audio using this guide only.

Does the updated DSDT include fixed HDMI audio and wake ?

Thank you in advance!

The DSDT file has HDMI audio. You have to compile/install it and then apply the changes to AppleHDA.kext provided by the guide I linked. It takes 5 minutes or less to get it working.

I haven't found a wake from sleep fix.

Hi guys, any news, update on this motherboard? I'm thinking of installing same on mine.
Thanks

This thread explains the entire process. Everything is functional.

Hello,

I have the same mobo and CPU ( ASRock Z68M-ITX+i5 2500k ) in a Sugo SG07, with an external graphics card (Radeon 7850) for my Windows 7 drive.

I used prguy85's settings for Multibeast.
1st try : stuck at the very beginning of the boot (vesa detection)
2nd try : I ran Multibeast again and picked "64 bit GraphicsEnabler=No" in boot options, instead of "64 Bit Apple Boot Screen". This time I have a sudden kernel panic ten seconds after boot...
3rd try : any ideas ?

Thanks !

I finally found a solution for my kernel panic :
=> remove ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin.kext from the IOPlatformPluginFamily.kext located in /System/Library/Extensions.

So now I have another problem :
I use dual boot for Windows 7 / Lion.
When I use Win7, my monitor is plugged to the DVI output from my Radeon 7850.

I can't boot Lion with this card (or only in low-res) so I have to use onboard graphics (HD3000 with DVI or HDMI output)

I don't want to plug and unplug each time I reboot, so I have something to do with :
- cables : I could connect my monitor with both Radeon's DVI and HD3000's HDMI at the same time. Or I could use a KVM ?
- BIOS : which "primary VGA" : onboard graphics or PCI express ?

Any help would be welcome !

What is about sleep mode. Does someone has success?

I create dsdt file for bios 2.20 with hdef patch for alc892
MultiBeast setting only user DSDT
Work perfect, but without AppleIntelCPUPowerManagment.kext
