[Success] AMD RX6000 Series working in macOS

WX 2100 is Lexa and should NOT work. Is this a typo?
All it needs is a simple Device-ID spoof to a Baffin GPU to make it work. Even with Ventura.

From the Metal (API) article on Wikipedia:

"Metal 3 introduces MetalFX upscaling framework which renders complex scenes in less time per frame with high-performance upscaling and anti-aliasing."

For anyone gaming in Ventura or working in 3D, it's best to use a Metal 3 compatible GPU.

Metal 2 GPUs will still work, Metal 3 support is good to have but isn't a requirement for Ventura. RX 400/500 series cards work with no issues. They just lack MetalFX upscaling. I've used a Radeon Pro WX-2100 and an RX 570 with no problems to report. Even UHD630 graphics have Metal 3 support so there are many options for Ventura.
I am building a purchase list for a new hackintosh and from reading many posts here shall I purchase a AMD 6600 XT or Vega 56/64 (from which specific manufacturer) ?

Sapphire is the consensus best choice in this community. Next would probably be Gigabyte or MSI. Most name brands should work without problems. Just avoid unknown brands from China that have mediocre cooling setups.

I see, is there a recommendation as to which model of RX 5000/6000/Vega is highly recommended for future versions of mac os for longevity ? I am looking for between 5-7 years of longevity

5 to 7 years from now ? Didn't you hear that all new Macs are Apple Silicon only ?

Intel based hacks and all AMD cards will have lost support long before 5 years from now. You can be certain you won't be running the latest 2027 macOS 17 version on your current hardware by then. Just buy something that works right now and see what happens.

I see OK, I guess I'll stick with a new upcoming mac mini (if it releases) or build a hackintosh with a 10th gen i9-10900k with amd RX 6600 XT with pricing that comes close to the mac. The reason is because my current hardware is very old its 13 years old and I'm in dire need for a new refresh lol

Assuming you DO want a hackintosh over an AppleSilicon Mac with some future, the answer depends on your requirements and use case. There's no absolute answer.
RX 6600 is recent and powerful but requires Monterey. Running older versions of macOS would dictate a Vega or Polaris card. There may also be specific workloads for which the older and much more power hungry Vega is the best option over a leaner RX 6600, but we can't know if that applies to you.

I mainly want to use it for database creating and some graphic design

I'll put my 2c here, while I am going to get the upcoming MacBook Pro with m2 I'm still sticking with Hackintosh as long as I can(at least 2-3y), heck I was on the Big Sur till 2 month ago, and if somehow I can manage to the OS working on the C740/X799 would be 5y instead of 2-3.

I've watched a youtube video saying that ventura is performing much better with intel cpu and amd gpu than monterey so if apple can keep this up maybe the next few interations of mac os will be supported will until they fizzle out from the mac lineup lol
