I've upgraded my ssd from a 64gb Kingston to a Samsung 840 120gb by using Carbon Copy Cloner and the applying the Chimera bootloader back on top of the new ssd. However when booting directly to the new ssd I get the attached panic error. Interestingly, if I boot to the old ssd and then select the new one in the iboot selection, it boots up fine. Any ideas ?

Your KP is from something called SyncMate. Definitely 3rd party software. Try removing it...
