Sound from speakers vs. from headphones

I have a Gigabyte H87M-D3H motherboard, and I would like the speakers to mute whenever I plug in my headphones, but that doesn't happen. I would like it to work the way my Windows PC works. Is there a setting somewhere, BIOS or otherwise, that I can set?

Not yet.

According to the MB manual, their Windows driver UI allows you to select "Mute the rear output device when a front headphone plugged in", but of course I can't get to that driver on my Mac. Is VooDooHDA supposed to solve these kinds of issues?

This is my first Hackintosh, so I'm a complete newbie in Apple/OS X/Hackintosh-land.
