[solved] Unable to boot installer -- OsxAptioFixDrv Error

Status
Not open for further replies.
Hi,
This is my first post in tonymacx86. I am trying to build 10.11 installer using this guide: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-booting-the-os-x-installer-on-laptops-with-clover.148093/

I am getting AptioFixDrv error and I am unable to reach the installer.

I am using the same kexts provided by the above mentioned link.
I have used both AptioFixDrv and AptioFix2Drv from clover v2.4_r4243. I have tried using the modified AptioFixDrv by Rehabman. I have also tried using modified files from here: https://nickwoodhams.com/x99-hackintosh-osxaptiofixdrv-allocaterelocblock-error-update/
I tried EmuVariable64 and LowMemFix from the same version of clover but still no luck.
I am using a config.plist file from the above mentioned link (config_HD620/615/630 plist) where CsrActiveConfig" is already set to 0x67. Ido not know if I had to change/modify ig-properties-id though.
I tried setting DVMT prealloc size to 32mb from BIOS since it was set to 64mb by defaut.
In any case I am getting some or the other AptioFix error.

Are you trying to install 10.11 on the hardware in your profile with this EFI/CLOVER?
No chance of it working... 10.11 does not support KabyLake native.
You need at least 10.12.6 for KabyLake native.
KabyLake and macOS prior to 10.12.6 requires Skylake spoof.

Thanks for the solution sir. I tried with OSX High Sierra earlier, but every time I try to download it, I get a rejection from the app store on my Ivy Bridge CPU.
Can I download from any other source or can I download Sierra from app store? I will try with FakeCPUID though and let you know the result.

High Sierra supports Ivy. You must have an incorrect configuration on your Ivy Bridge setup (wrong SMBIOS).
You can download macOS only from the App Store.
My guide has a plist for Skylake spoofing.

Thanks a lot, Rehabman. I should've read the guide more thoroughly. I could boot into installer and install 10.11.3 successfully using the config_HD615/620_spoof.plist from your Laptop config master. I can now boot from my hard drive and got graphics, audio, backlight working with proper patches from your guide. After a successful build, I will post my results. Having a little trouble to get my I2C touchpad working.

Is High Sierra any better in terms of compatibility and performance to El Capitan for my hardware, Since I am spoofing CPUID rather than having a native support?

Not possible to predict.
You would need to try it and see what happens.
