[Solved] kextd stall 'AppleACPICPU'

What fixed this error for me was adding FakeSMC.kext to the EFI/Clover/Kexts/Other folder.

it's part of macOS, re run the installer to get it back if you have deleted it

It’s in the software in System/Library/Extensions folder.

No i didn't delete it, did some googling and someone else had the same timeout message in verbose mode and that's how they solved it. In any case, I cant no longer boot back into clover off the USB, i can select the USB EUFI from the boot menu but it seems to bypass clover and always boot back into the hanging OSX install,Sorry for all the newbie posts, been at it 9 hours now, gonna nuke and start over, going for the finish line!

Indeed that works when removing the fakeSMC kext!!
