Hi guys,
i'm issuing common kernel panics apparently caused by some javascripts since MacOS 10.11. Still present on 10.11.1, this "bug" causes kernel panics of "general protection" type at the execution time of some (note it's just some, but i have no idea about which) kinds of javascripts, disabling js at all i had no panics. For instance facebook is one of the sites that crash. I have tested and found positive Chorme, Safari (latests versions) and Firefox 42. Doesn't happen on firefox 34, feels interesting.

By the way here is a crashlog

JavaScript brings to kernel panic (El Capitain)

After a long struggle looks like i came to a fix. Note that i found this solution under Yosemite (yep i downgraded) but i believe there's almost no difference between it and El Capitan.

First of all i realized that the panic was related to Toleda's HDA script, so by reinstalling the original AppleHDA.kext kernel didn't panic anymore. But browsers (without distinction) were still giving problems, i.e. when loading facebook's useless gifs. So i found this in Safari's crashlog:
Code:
Crashed Thread: 36 com.apple.coremedia.videomediaconverter

Exception Type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGSEGV)
Exception Codes: KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS at 0x0000000000000079

Googoling "com.apple.coremedia.videomediaconverter" i figured out the problem was a wrong SMBIOS setting. Mine was set to iMac13,2 and by setting it to MacPro3,1 everything goes fine, even with HDA enabled and Toleda's fix.

Cheers

I think I may be having the same issue with Facebook. Have you upgraded to El Capitan to see if it persists?
