I tried to install OS X 10.8.4 on my new hackintosh without success.
I used Unibeast for Mountain Lion 1.7.0.
I can install my system but when I try to finish my installation, I get stuck at the splash screen, keeps spinning for ever.
So I booted in 'Verbose' mode and my last lines are:

Code:
BootCacheControl: Unable to open /var/db/BootCache.playlist: 2 No such file or directory
macx_swapon SUCCESS
Waiting for DSMOS...
Previous Shutdown Cause: 3
ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin::start - waitForService(resourceMatching(AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement) timed out
WARNING: IOPlatformPluginUtil : get CPUIDInfo: this is an unknown CPU model 0x3a
-- power management may be incomplete or unsupported
DSMOS has arrived
[IOBluetoothHCIController][start] -- completed

My system runs on a GA-B75M-D3P logic board with an Intel i7 3770 processor.
Anyone who can help me? :roll2:

Been there, done that.

Type in -v -x PCIRootUID=0 and see if you can get into Apple using safe mode. Run MultiBeast. You probably have a DSDT to download for MultiBeast to use. Just download both to your desktop. Use the instructions for 10.8 installation. Maybe, that's all you need.

Ian, your processor needs specific bios settings for your particular model, check off what you have done against this build guide : http://www.tonymacx86.com/user-buil...b75m-d3v-i7-3770-gt640-atx-mountain-lion.html

It looks likely that you have something incorrect at the bios stage, otherwise you would not see this message - "WARNING: IOPlatformPluginUtil : get CPUIDInfo: this is an unknown CPU model 0x3a"

I found this post on the forum and it worked for me!
Be sure to use these settings for your BIOS

Press F7 for Optimized Defaults
M.I.T. > Advanced Memory Settings > Extreme Memory Profile (X.M.P.) > Profile1
BIOS Features > VT-d > Disabled
Peripherals > SATA Mode Selection > AHCI
Peripherals > Init Display First > IGFX
Peripherals > Marvell ATA Controller Configuration > GSATA Controller > AHCI Mode
Press F10 to Save & Exit

Also look at his images for multibeast settings! Got mine running in under one hour after reading that post! o_O

jck,

This is the important setting for your processor (i7 3770 - non 'K' version)

BIOS Features > VT-d > Disabled

Thank you very much, UrbanBard and IanBauters !
Although I respected to the letter the article Quick guide to configuring the UEFI on Gigabyte's 7-series LGA-1155 motherboards, it happened that your two advices made me go two more steps in the process, and I could get a complete successfull (but without any options) Mountain Lion install on my hard drive. Thanks a lot !

Well now I have a next step to solve, because when I startup in verbose mode, for now I get :

but this is another question, and first I have to work on it. :)
