Hi everyone!,

I'm working on my first macosx build and I get stuck several days with graphical issues.

I've read some posts trying to resolve my problem, but I'm unable to make it works properly.

The thing is the graphical card shouldn't be fully activated. There are some glitch effects, very slow desktop experience, resolution can't be changed (and also the graphics don't full fill the whole display, there is a black border).

Things done so far:
- Sierra installation with Unibeast 7.0.1. (easier than expected, thank you guys!)
- Clover (Legacy Boot Mode) installation and ATI injection with MultiBeast 9.0.1

After this, the graphic card model is properly recognised checking in "about this mac". The sad part is with only 5MB! :(.

Things tried so far (without success):
- With Clover Configurator, set FakeID = 0x68be1002 and FBName = Vervet.
- With KextBeast try to install AMD5000Controller.kext.
- With KextBeast try to install AMD5000Controller.kext and AMDRadeonAccelerator.kext.

-> kexts downloaded from this thread: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/ati-radeon-hd-5750-graphics-card-on-ml.61044/

My hardware is (it's a bit old but should perform well enough):
- Asus P7P55D
- i5-750
- Sapphire HD5750 1GB GDDR5
- 12 GB RAM

By the way, there is no sound neither. I mention it just in case it could be related.

Thanks for the help!,
Regards.

Also, when I try to load the DSDT.aml (downloaded from the DSDT Database for my Asus P7P55D) I get stuck at this point (see image attached) :banghead:

I appreciate if anybody could give me some light.

Thanks!

Those kexts are meant for an older version of OS X, so Sierra will refuse to load them. Restore the original kernel extensions by reinstalling the latest combo update (or restore from backup in case you have one).

Then use Clover's FakeID feature to spoof your device ID. I'd try the ID of the HD 5770 first (0x68B81002). This should survive all upcoming updates without messing around on the file system.
Have a look at the Radeon Thread for further details: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/radeon-compatibility-guide-ati-amd-graphics-cards.171291/

Note: Please add your system details to your profile and post in the appropriate sections regarding your other issues.

Thank you for your answer Fl0r!an :),

As far as my partition doesn't meet the requirements for reinstall the 10.12.2 combo update, I'll perform a clean install.

Should I care about the FrameBuffer name?

I'll update my profile while the system gets reinstalled. :p

Hi again,

After a fresh Sierra and Clover install, I still having the same issues :banghead:. I've just spoof the devID and FrameBuffer via Clover Configurator.

The idea is set up it in Clover without any video injection, right?

I attach some images to show my current graphic configuration in Clover.

Thanks for the clues , but I need more .

Ok, finally the key was found! :headbang:

I only had to activate the check FixDisplay in Clover Configurator -> acpi

I attach the configuration for whom could be useful (As Fl0r!an said, no kexts needed ).

Note: the VRAM value and Video Ports value work fine leaving it blank for me.

Thanks all!

There is only one step missing, you have to edit the config.plist, where it says ATI, change the key from FALSE to TRUE, and that´s it, it works like a charm.

Guys did you test the card on high Sierra?? Any results or tips to share??
