Believe it's a Mac Pro. Was mis-advised by someone on the Macrumors forum to use Multibeast for SL.

It worked @trs96 . I just clicked on the USB 3.0 (after a trip to apple) driver and restart, and bam. All that to have USB 3. Lol! Worth it now. Many thanks for the solution. (success)
