Hellö
I have a working OpenCore 0.6.5 EFI after hours of work. I thought to share it.
Its ment for Z370 AORUS ULTRA GAMING WIFI, i7. I have removed the stock NVM bluetooth module and put a bluetooth card in it that is supported by apple natively.
Preparation:
- Download EFI Mount: https://github.com/corpnewt/MountEFI
- Download GenSMBIOS https://github.com/corpnewt/GenSMBIOS
- Download Big Sur from AppStore
- Download attached EFI, unzip it
Steps to install (to do on a Mac):
Hope someone can use it.

Preparation:
- Download EFI Mount: https://github.com/corpnewt/MountEFI
- Download GenSMBIOS https://github.com/corpnewt/GenSMBIOS
- Download Big Sur from AppStore
- Download attached EFI, unzip it
Steps to install (to do on a Mac):
- Format (erase) an USB stick
- Journaled, GUI Partition Format - Create the installer on the USB stick.
- The first path ist the the path to your Big Sur file, "MyVolume" is the name of your boot stick
sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Big\ Sur.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/MyVolume
- Mount EFI of the USB stick (open MountEFI.command)
- Copy the downloaded folder to the mounted EFI (mind that it needs "EFI" as the first folder although the mounted drive is called EFI)
- Open GenSMBIOS (double click GenSMBIOS.command), select one after the other
1. install / Update MacSerial
2. Select config and add the config file from your EFI/EFI mount
3. Generate and use iMacPro1,1
- Ensure, that the serial number is unknown here: https://checkcoverage.apple.com
... otherwise iCloud and iMessage won't work.
4. Gnereate UUID - Put the stick into the machine you want to install big sure
- Install OS X Big Sur (delete existing partitions completely)
- Login to Big Sur, Copy the content of the EFI Folder from the USB stick to the EFI Folder of your new OS X (the folder might be empty, that's ok)
Hope someone can use it.
