[SOLVED] Can't install apps via Installer.app (any .pkg file)

I installed Mountain Lion on my desktop and almost everything is running ok.
My problem is that every time I try to install something via Installer (e.g. a PKG file), the installation fails and get this error message:
"The Installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance."

Sometimes I got the same error when trying to install the drivers from MultiBeast.

Here's the log messages while trying to install the nVidia CUDA drivers:

I googled but I couldn't find the solution for this problem.
It's a very annoying problem because I can't install apps, updates and drivers.

The Installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail.

It's bitting my a$$, too in both 10.8.5 and 10.9.1.

"Read Only" is a problem. Rebuild your permissions. Just a guess.

SOLVED - I removed old kexts that i had copied into the new build, these kexts were from another MAC and were stopping the new installation, i hope this helps someone
