Screen goes black on startup

Hi,
My hackintosh has had a slightly annoying problem ever since I built it. Every time I turn it on i have to turn my screen off and on again to get any signal. This only happens when its plugged into the mDP, not with the HDMI port, but for other reasons I have to use the mDP port. The Bios shows, the loader shows, but when it gets to around the apple logo it goes black. When i turn the screen off and on again the login screen shows up and it works fine after that.
Its not a big thing, but it gets a bit annoying when I have to reboot often... Any ideas?

Is your monitor set to DP1.2?

Try setting it to DP 1.0/1.1 in your monitors settings.
