Screen Goes Black During Loading Screen

Are you booting in verbose mode ? You should be.
How is it connected to the monitor ?

I booted with verbose mode and safe mode selected. I'm connected with an hdmi to dvi cable because my monitor doesn't have an hdmi connection.

Did you install the web drivers ?

Try booting with nv_disable=1.

web drivers are installed. still fails to boot with nv_disable=1

ok so after trying to boot a few more times with nv_disable=1, I finally got in. Any idea how to fix the issue now that i'm in the OS?
