Safari crashes when playing (some) videos in 10.12.6

I had some issues with my BIOS recently, so I zapped the settings. Shortly after that I had the Safari video freeze thing happen. But then I realized I forgot to disable the iGPU when I redid the BIOS settings, so I did that and everything's back to being 100% stable.

What do you mean that you forgot to disable the iGPU?

My hackintosh randomly crashes when watching netflix/youtube/videos at random times - with flashing a white or orange or black screen where I have no choice but to reboot. Help!

Normally I have the iGPU disabled and only use my graphics card (R9 280x). That time, I forgot to disable it. So I disabled it. I never got a flashing white/orange/black screen though, just the Safari video freeze.
