Supposedly the 6950 XT has the exact same silicon as the 6900 XT, so I would expect it should work in MacOS Monterey. But without actual tests it is speculation right now.Has anyone yet tried to use one of the new Radeon RX 6950 XT with macOS? Is it as compatible as the RX 6900 XT?
can you post screenshots of the device ID?im lost with the 6650 xt cant get it working properly
Thank you! That's encouraging. If I end up with a 6950 XT and get it working I will respond to this thread with the news.Jamesbond007 said:Supposedly the 6950 XT has the exact same silicon as the 6900 XT, so I would expect it should work in MacOS Monterey.
Apparently 6650 XT is working with device spoofing. Seems no one has tried 6950 XT yet.Thank you! That's encouraging. If I end up with a 6950 XT and get it working I will respond to this thread with the news.
TL;DRFound some Chinese video on how to make 6650 XT, 6950 XT working. Hope this helps.
Thanks. Could you link to the previous guides and tutorials for RX 6900 XTXH that you mention? I'm not finding those guides, unfortunately.Refer to the previous guides and tutorials for RX 6900 XTXH (0x73AF -> 0x73BF) to know how to spoof with a SSDT, or DeviceProperties from OpenCore (generally requires a SSDT-BRG0 if there are unnamed PCI bridges in the path).
Thanks. Not sure why this worked but other tutorials didn't... the AML seems a bit more involved than others, but would love a play-by-play on it.I disguised the 6950xt as a 6900xt.And run in masos 11.6
