Radeon RX 4XX/5XX standalone system, AMDRadeonX4250.kext (GVA support H264) does not support HEVC HW

I have Coffee Lake + RX 580. I changed SMBIOS to iMacPro1,1 and installed dummy141.kext to /EFI/Clover/kexts/Other/

I have DGPU accelerated 10-bit HEVC decoding, using VLC Media Player, it barely shows anything under Activity Monitor...

If you cannot use the SMBIOS for any reason, you can try the boot flags:

"dummy141.kext, "shikigva=32" and "shiki-id=Mac-7BA5B2D9E42DDD94"

(without the quotes)

with UHD 630 and RX 580, you don't need dummy kexts, you don't need shiki boot args, hw encode and decode work natively with SMBIOS iMac18,3.

Hello, everything works fine with 10.14.04 and dummy 141.kext but Readon RX580 is replaced by "Graphics N / A" does anyone know why?

Remove swapID kext, just use dummy141.kext.

I did add some kext to your efi folder, removed SSDT, added framebuffer injection. Try and report back. Why you dont enable IGPU? your cpu is i7 7700K?

I tested with enabler IGPU, and I have better performance, thanks for the tip,

i'm puzzled, from the picture, you use SMBIOS 17,1, iGPU is disabled, only dGPU, though you have dummy kexts, it's not like that you can get hw encode and decode working, as i remember, iMacPro1,1 SMBIOS is needed.

It's not like that... I use 14.2 and iGPU disable from bios actually is HD3000 ( not support Mojave ) RX560 and everything work perfect..
change GFX0 to IGPU + inject ATI.. + dummy. - witouth SSDT. ( or SSDT to inject Radeon RX560, - inject ATI )
