Radeon Compatibility Guide - ATI/AMD Graphics Cards

Ive picked up a ATI Radeon 6870 from eBay. Can't wait for it to come. This card works in OSX from what I've seen online. Ill report back once I've had a play

Can confirm that the PowerColor ATI Radeon 6870 works perfectly fine. The 2 Mini Display, 2 DVIs & HDMI work; all 5 ports works fine in 10.11.1. Only thing I have noticed is that the fan stays throttled. I think that'ss something to do with Powermanagement in 10.11.1. I'll try more than one monitor soon and report back, but the card works fine.

Sleep doesn't work in 10.11 but I'm going to try in 10.10 also 10.9.5. I've thought about what if you roll back the drivers in 10.11? I've got a Radeon 5450 which sleep works fine with that card.

Right! So here's the problem with more than 1 monitor. 2 Monitors work fine in which either the 2 Mini Display ports or HDMI and DVI ,but anymore than 2 monitors. No signal on 3rd monitor. Guess it's a problem with the Frame Buffer in 10.11.1.

If I do everything correctly, will all the ports on a r9 390 work? I've been doing some research and I've seen a couple people say only the dvi port worked on their 390. I would like either HDMI or DP to work.

Are you using active adapters/native DP displays?

I'm using mDP Adaptors to DVI which I got from Apple awhile ago. I'll give it some time and test in 10.10.5
