yeah thanks, I just figured it out..sorry for editing my last post..

in his guide the last tip is necessary otherwise i doesnt work, one leg of the LED has to be soldered to ground on the PCB back. After his instruction he posted a foto where this can be seen.

..added two USB ports under the slim DVD on the front, audio/mic I didn´t really use in the last years but maybe I´ll put in a full panel later.

I guess with all of these slim DVDs you have to open the door manually before you eject the disc? My regular DVD wasn't even close to fitting so looking to go the slim DVD way. Which one did you use?

as u see in the photo above the two USB connectors fit quite good directly under the slim DVD.
For opening I just pull on the old´superdrive´-sticker that still is on the lid .
In OSX,when I eject the DVD, it pops out, but the Quicksilver DVD lid is of course too heavy, that it would open completley..

cheers
