It's not clear what "problem free" means, so the question is vague. But despite the vagueness, I'd say yes, of course, and there are plenty of such builds you can find here.
after browsing the forums for a bit, it seemed to me you'd need to watch out for what would work and what wouldn't.
for example. I have USB Superdrive. I think I have to find a 'build' that works with it. I also have an external harddrive. I'll have to find a drive that just works with it. Whereas on any other computer these would work fine. Am I mistaken? Thanks for your response (btw.)
and of course there's the future compatibility problems; which I haven't actually browsed on this forum. I suppose whatever problem occurs, it gets a fix/solution proposal here.
Obviously, you have to match your hardware to your software (ensuring they are compatible) if you're building a Hackintosh. If you think that doing that is a problem, then there are no problem free Hackintoshes for you.
How come "obviously"? I thought you could buy any USB superdrive on this Earth, and plug it into any MAC or PC and it'd work. You wouldn't need to ensure they are compatible. I mean, for the most part.
