why do you say the GA-H55-USB3 is obsolete?
obsolete |ˌäbsəˈlēt| adjective 1 no longer produced or used; out of date:
Ok, so maybe its still used by a few folks (like me!) who drive 16 year old clunkers. But...
The board is 4 years old and discontinued, LGA 1156 processors have been discontinued for over a year. There are three generations of processors ahead of Nehalem (Sandy/Ivy Bridge and Haswell).
Does it still work? Hell yes. Would you use it in a new build? No, b/c there are IvyBridge boards with all the functionality of the H55-USB3 *plus* modern features (SATA 3, mSATA, Thunderbolt, etc.).
