Hello everyone!

After my susses of building a Mac Pro Hackingtoch, I am looking to build a portable mini hackingtoch, which is powerful and able to handle the my ''in the box'' music production.

I am wondering if someone have build a powerful portable mini hack?

Here is what I am looking to put together:

Internal;
Gigabyte GA-H170N-WIFI, Socket-1151 Mini-ITX.
Intel Core i5-6600 Skylake CPU - 3.3 GHz - Intel LGA1151, 4 Cores'
Noctua NH-L9i CPU Køler - Luftkøler - Max 23 dBA
Intel 600p SSD M.2 NVMe - 256GB

WD Black WD10JPLX HDD - 1 TB - 2.5" - 7200 rpm - SATA-600 - 32 MB cache
Kingston HyperX Fury DDR4-2133 DC - 32GB

Case;
Streacom F7C Alpha - Silver,

Thank you for taking the time to looking at this.

All the best

Hello Apoesk21,
I've built something similar. I used a M350 case though. Parts look good, may I make a few suggestion? Why get the Intel i5-6600 when for about the same price or a few bucks more you can get the "k" version? You have a great cooler to keep it cool. The SSD NVMe versions can be used but it requires some fiddling with it. I suggest a Samsung SM951 AHCI Version, works OOB, or just get another 2.5 SSD like the Samsung Evo 250GB. You can also replace the M.2 WiFi/BT card with another that can work. I did this with my Mini. I got the BCM94352Z M.2 card. I installed the proper Kexts and it works great. This way you have 2 more USB ports free. I would suggest using this guide[Guide] El Capitan on the Skylake H170N-WIFI | tonymacx86.com

Hope this helps and good luck.

Dear Aztlan78,

Of course you may! :)

The ''k''version, is that the 3.5 GHz? Great idea! - I will get that one.

I am not able to find the M.2 you suggest, at my dealer, but do you think this one is better?
A Samsung 850 EVO M.2 2280 SSD - 250GB?

I will go for the replacement of the internal m.2 card, for bluetooth and wifi. :D

As for power, I will be using the following:

192w AC-DC Power Adapter, 12v 16A
and

12V DC-DC ATX mini-ITX 160W Netzteil power supply

All the best
