pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

I had the same problem initially. Do you have a lot of background programs running that was installed under High Sierra? I removed an old version of Istat Menu.

I'm also using hardware definition "iMacPro1,1"

After that it is working flawlessly with Mojave.
It is a fresh install, also if using the iGPU for quicksync, one must currently still use the iMac18,3 SMBIOS since it has AGPM for both the iGPU and GPU, the iMacPro1,1 does not have a iGPU therefore is only applicable if using a GPU with the iGPU disabled
I have tried various platform-id's, the connectionless 3E910003 and 3E920003 also with no luck

@pastrychef I'm using the latest 10.14 Mojave PB and implemented your latest changes "ig-platform-id changed to Coffee Lake" from v4.4 of your EFI and find that now the system immediately wakes after I put it to sleep, do you experience this too?

I haven't been on the Mojave public beta much. I've only been using 17G2112 and sleep has been working fine with Coffee Lake ig-platform-id. I'll try booting i to Mojave public beta later to test sleep.

Have you tried sleep with EFI r4.3?

Also, please enter the following in to Terminal and let me know the output:
Code:
log show --style syslog | fgrep "Wake reason"

This is what comes up, I have tried both revisions with similar results. I am on the latest beta so I have this feeling it is the beta and should be resolved by the final release. I don't have the latest MacOS High Sierra build to test if it works there

Code:
2018-09-03 21:31:46.101273+1000 localhost kernel[0]: (AppleACPIPlatform) AppleACPIPlatformPower Wake reason: PEG1 GFX0 PEG2 GFX0 PXSX RP10 PXSX RP11 PXSX RP12 PXSX RP13 PXSX PXSX RP02 PXSX RP04 PXSX PXSX RP06 PXSX PXSX RP08 PXSX PXSX R

What comes up when you enter that in terminal?

Mine are pretty much the same as what I posted in #2937.

I booted in to Mojave public beta and let it idle until it went to sleep on its own. So far, sleep seems fine. No instant wake here. I'll try to leave the computer alone for as long as I can and monitor sleep.

I will also try manually invoking sleep via the menu bar later. But I don't anticipate any problems.

Reporting I have updated to EFI r4.4 on my Mojave latest Beta - upgraded since beta4.

I also installed the WIFI card recommended here and I have everything working except
1. The CPU ID still shows Unknown, I am not entirely sure how to inject-id as I replicated your clover.plist
2.the portrait mode which is all screwed up only after boot but apparently it is an Apple thingy and even weirder, it fixes itself when the system goes on sleep. (cf. this post)

I noticed the monitors arrangement was different between portrait mode and landscape mode.
Something like:
LG-A - LG-B(M) - DELL(Portrait)
but if DELL switched to landscape I have
DELL(Landscape) - LG-A(M) - LG-B

The (M) is for the main/primary monitor.
I fixed that setup to have both arrangements consistent but it makes no difference.

I have three monitors, two LG 27UK600, both on Displayport-to-Displayport cables and an old DELL 24 inch on DVI in portrait mode.
I had a problem when one LG was on HDMI - did not bother fixing it, just re-arrange my setup to be able to run the displayport to displayport cable to each LG monitor which were a bit short.

Thanks again @pastrychef for your continuous documentation on this build !

At approx 8am, I booted in to the latest Mojave public beta using Coffee Lake ig-platform-id.

Good to hear that the only issue you have is portrait mode on a monitor. Unfortunately, that's something I've never tried. I swapped out the monitor stand for my monitor and the one I'm using doesn't allow for screen rotations so I can't test.

Yes, HDMI can sometimes be hit-or-miss. Quality cables are also essential to having a stable system. I was using a shoddy HDMI cable on my test system and the screen would sometimes flicker. I swapped it for a higher quality cable and the problem was fixed.
