Idle sleep preventers: IODisplayWrangler

It looks like Chrome is your problem.

Also, what is AURA LED Controller?

The AURA LED Controller is something that ASUS added to certain motherboards for controlling the LED lights on the motherboard and select peripherals. On my Z370-E it's showing up on HS06. I'm working on a SSDT to totally disable it.

Ah. I see. Thanks for the info.

OK, thanks :)
So I shut down Chrome before sleep? Or do you know if there are settings in Chrome (or otherwise) that I can apply to fix this?

UPDATE: Just tried shutting down all applications incl. Chrome, but nothing changed: Sleeps for 3 secs, then wakes up again.

It says "Idle sleep preventers: IODisplayWrangler" > Is that relevant?

I really don't know. I don't use Chrome. But it says you have peers connected to Chrome, so it could be some kind of extension/plugin that you are using or some sort of site...

Yes, you may be right. Will research. Also I get a long line of "wake reason: XDCI XHC" messages when I prompt syslog for a wake reason. Possibly some issue with a USB port, monitor or similar.

My guess is USB.

I don't know. Mentioning people are fine. I do it all the time.

Nice system you've got there, You've inspired me to to start my first new build in a couple of years.

Question, have you played with memory speeds at all? I may be wrong but if you put all that fancy ram in there, it won't actually run at 3400 MHz unless you tell it to. I think the standard for DD4 is 2133 but some motherboards natively run ram at 2400 if the modules are available to run at that speed. Just curious if you had any stability issues if you've played with that.

Thanks!

Thanks so much for such fantastic information! Just curious if anyone would know if this build would work with a Z370-A Motherboard, as I really need thunderbolt!

Thanks again!
