Hi. My laptop has a swollen battery, therefore I had to remove it. But without a battery, the trackpad preference pane don't work anymore. Can we make the laptop think that it still has a battery inside?

Hi,

Can please anybody help me on get the battery working on my HP laptop running Catalina [10.15.7 (19H15)] - OpenCore 0.6.3 (with still some issues to solve).

Thanks in advance!

give this EFI a try

Note that I changed some stuff so better to keep a backup of your current EFI just in case

in case you still have the same problem run this command in terminal and send me the output

Log show —lastboot | grep -i acpi

my friend believe me that i upload the dsdt.aml from windows using SSDTTime dump just now again
Ok that looks like vanilla (note that when you boot Windows through Opencore it will apply the patches to Windows DSDT)

Anyways here is the patch
Copy SSDT-BATT to your ACPI folder
and copy renaming patches from patches.plist to your config.plist

Make sure you don't have DSDT in your ACPI folder
make sure you have SMCBatteryManager in your kexts folder

Ok go back to your old working EFI and download the file below

  1. Delete old battery stuff (SSDT-BAT, renaming patches etc)
  2. Copy SSDT-BAT, SSDT-DBAT,SSDT-BATC to your ACPI folder
  3. Copy patches from patches.plist to config.plist
  4. Make sure you don't have DSDT in your ACPI folder
  5. Make sure you HAVE SMCBatteryManager in your kexts folder

I can’t boot from working usb Catalina opencore to fresh install.
every time I try to boot from your usb it takes me the startup menu boot. “Opencore rebooting to bios”
I used this usb yesterday and it was working. Do you know what’s this issue
