Check you have it fully inserted and check ram profile in your bios as well...

Hi guys, i have the following PC:

Motherboard: ASROCK H61iCafe
CPU: Intel Core i3 2100
RAM: Kingmax 2*2GB
VIDEO: AMD Radeon 4870 512DDR5
STORAGE: Seagate 2TB SATA3 + Samsung 80GB SATA2

I think that's about all.
I tried to install OSx with SL iAtk S3 10.6.3 Ver.2 on a special made 50GB partition from the 2TB Seagate. The instalation went ok, but i kept getting "Boot: error" message at boot.
I got the conclusion that the pc is bad, or something, and i tried at my work pc.
ASUS P5K-SE, E2180, GF210, 2GB RAM, Samsung 80GB.
It went smoothly, worked perfectly the first time.
I took the hard drive out, and put it in my main pc (i3 2100).

I disabled the Seagate 2TB hard drive, and i have tried again to install on the fresh formatted extended journaled 80gb hard drive, sadly without a chance. I keep getting kernel panics after install, or black screens. The installation is ok, the slider goes to the end, but i don't know what to do anymore.

Isn't my hardware compatible?
If it is, what can i do? what can i use?
Can you recommend a good and compatible guide?

Ok, it worked after all, but now i have another problem.
My sound is very choppy, laggy, etc... and snow leopard doesn't boot with my Ati Radeon 4870 in the sistem.
If i take it out and leave only the onboard card, i have signal.
If i let the board in, the sound plays, but my monitor goes to standby.
What can i do?

i have heard heard that the ram voltage must be on 1.65v on this ram.
i´ll try it today

For sound, did you run AppleHDARollback? If not, you might want to.
I had same problem, ran the above and it worked like a charm.

Hope you got this fixed, the ram you chose, whats the exact product? Make sure you test everything, like using only the second ram slot. Not impossible that the second slot is faulty but not likely either.

I love this thread and I'm looking forward making my own hack mini based on the thread. However, I want to use a 30 inch screen and I'm wondering if there is any way or if I could get another graphics card or motherboard to support the 2560x1600 resolution. Also looking forward for an i7 quad core.

Any ideas?

I have many 8GB boxes of CMX8GX3M2A1333C9 XMS3 Dual Channel Processor memory- all modules are marked "1.5v"... you can look at the modules and it should have a label with all the specs for the modules you have.
