Well I might have found a solution to the crappy 5ghz channel support not going past 64. This card does not have a proper regdomain set for OS X to use or understand, but does work right with windows because the drivers handle the regdomain correctly.
Changing the regdomain, has worked with other Atheros cards under OS X.
Changing the regdomain might be ILLEGAL in your country. THIS MOD/HACK CAN BRICK YOUR T-P LINK WI-FI CARD, ITS NOT MY FAULT YOU DID IT, EVEN THOUGH I SAID IT COULD BRICK YOUR CARD.
I'm going to use these two tools, to change my regulator domain later tonight. I don't have a guide or anything yet because I haven't done anything as of yet. Will advise my results once complete.

Only thing I can say... You will need Windows 7 or higher to make changes to the AR9380 EEPROM.
If there are any brave souls, out there give it a shot. Stock apple Atheros card regdomain = 0x0
Good Luck,
