Alright, I ordered an Ultrafine 5K today. I also ordered a Titan Ridge and Gigabyte motherboard to replace my MSI one. I want to give your patch a shot on 10.13.6 with my 980ti before I dump to AMD.
Is this patch still working for anyone running Nvidia?

I found that lilu and whatever green is sufficient except that I have to boot on one display cable and plug in the second after it boot into macOS. When it boots into macos, the screen is black. Then plug in the second display cable, you get 5k.
I am using 387.10.10.10.40.105 Nv webdriver. The camera and sound and microphone, brightness control are working.
Thank aerror for his terrific work but I can't get it work with aerror 's patch anymore.
I guess the black screen issue is related with this SSDT for Thunderbolt 3 Hotplug, anyone has tried this to fix the sleep-wakeup and boot black screen issue?
The hot plug is working because I pull out the usb c cable from the lg 5k and plug in again, the monitor works, although you need to do it several times sometimes. The screen can wake up from sleep if the computer is not in sleep. The hot plug doesn't work fully, because the audio and camera won't work after re-plug in.
update: I find that aerror patch can let the display light up with single cable, but with 2 cable, it doesn't work.

When booting into macOS, it turns into black screen after the following"[igpu]Graphics Driver failed to Load: could not register with frame buffer driver!" Do I need to change GFX0 to igpu in confine.plist to fix this? Thanks.

The camera and sound and microphone, brightness control are not working anymore.
just found a solution, boot into windows then boot into macOS will have the above working.
Any one know how to enable hdmi on 1080TI? lilu + appleALC doesn't work alone, haven't figure out what else need to be done exactly.

It is working partially, you have boot with one cable and plugin the other after the screen boot into macOS(after the apple logo is gone, or the verbose boot is over). The sound is not working for hdmi on 1080TI and I cannot get igpu work with 1080ti simultaneously either. I want to use the hdmi audio out of igup.
