this is what I found and it seams that is working. The audio is not working yet.
I also installed the graphic card and switched from internal to the GT 640 and also the full pack of memory 32GB and no problem

hey there! im a total noob but really want to build my own hackintosh and I am looking to get the exact system as you have. Clearly you had some issues when you first installed osx.. how is it running now? does everything work and is stable? it would be so awesome to let me know or give me any information that can help me with my build, to avoid any issues. I saw the .tiff you posted with the multibeast settings you inputed.. hopefully I can plug that in and get everything to work. any information or insight would be really cool thanks so much!!

So I am just finishing my CustoMac Pro using a GA-Z77X-UD5H, Intel Core i7-3770, 32 GB ram, I want to use the onboard HD4000 video using the DisplayPort to hook up my NEC PA301W monitor.

and yes I read http://www.tonymacx86.com/99-quick-guide-configuring-uefi-gigabyte-s-7-series-lga-1155-boards.html

I am geting tripped up using MultiBeast - Mountain Lion 5.2.1
I am also using the latest Chimera 2.0.1

I can get the system to only boot if I use the -x command,

What do I need checked in Multibeast to get this to boot properly?
I specifically got the GA-Z77X-UD5H for it's "ease of use"

Thanks
Steven

Do a fresh install and when you get to multibeast dont install chimera. I'm running a GA-Z77X-UD5H and I had constant issues with it only booting in safe mode. I only checked the audio and two relevant ethernet drivers, graphicsenabler=0 and 3rd party sata i believe.

I actually finally got it to work.
I did a fresh install again, then I ran Multibeast and checked UserDSDT or DSDT-Free Installation
and the only driver I selected was for network, Chimera boot loader, Customization-Systemn Definitions-Mac Mini 6,1
I was told to do this for the HD400 to work properly which it does now,
Then I updated to the latest Chimera.

I can now successfully turn on my computer and OSX 10.8.2 comes right up, very fast..
I have speakers plugged into a USB port so sound works.

I guess I am good to go until the next OS release...

Hey there,

I'm having similar problems as Kuanu. OsX installed fine, but I can't get it to boot without the UniBeast stick inserted.

When you used multibeast, did you use the 'DSDT/DSDT FREE'?
Did you choose a build identifier? if so which one?

Did you use the Easy Beast Installation?

Did you select any graphics drivers at all?

My hardware that I am trying to install on:
GA-Z77X-UD5H
Geforce GTX 680
I7 3770k
32GB Ram (8x4 corsair Vengence)
OsX 10.8.1

This is driving me crazy,

I've tried every person's suggestions on here and I still don't have a machine that can fully boot.

I've tried this whole process about 8 times over from scratch, full formats and reinstall, and each time, I get to the part where I need to use multibeast to make it bootable after trying all the suggested combinations of multibeast drivers and bootloaders and tweaks.... it still doesn't fully boot. I can't even get it to boot up with the Unibeast (without formatting and reinstalling, again....)

When I run verbose mode, it gives me about 12 pages of text, all very quickly, and never hangs anywhere. Then after the 12th page, it switched to white as though the login screen is going to pop up, but it never does.

I've tried -v -f -x Graphics Enabler=No, and nothing makes it boot fully.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Please Please Please!

I chose the Mac Pro Build because it was one of the stable builds..."just follow the guides, and it will be easy"... 2 days later I am still troubleshooting. ugh.

PS: I even did the MB hardware upgrade that TonyMacx suggested for my board. (and then reset the bios settings acording to his tutorial aswell).

My hardware that I am trying to install on:
GA-Z77X-UD5H
Geforce GTX 680
I7 3770k
32GB Ram (8x4 corsair Vengence)
OsX 10.8.1

Hey All,

I seem to have resolved my own situation finally, but I am posting to hopefully save someone else the trouble:
The Hardware:
Custo Mac Pro:
http://www.tonymacx86.com/333-building-customac-buyer-s-guide-february-2013.html
GA-Z77X-UD5H
Geforce GTX 680
I7 3770k
32GB Ram (8x4 corsair Vengeance)
OsX 10.8.1

1) Prep Work: (F12 when booting to access BIOS)
For this this motherboard you first need to update the UEFI since it ships with with out of date firmware. (Get the latest non Bata version)
To do this go here and follow the instructions to download, extract with suffit expander and install via Q-Flash in your BIOS interface.
---> http://www.tonymacx86.com/175-new-uefi-updates-gigabyte-s-high-end-z77-boards.html

2) Prep Work Part 2:
Go to this link and correct the BIOS settings on your new mother board. (Do after step 1, else it will all be wiped).
http://www.tonymacx86.com/99-quick-guide-configuring-uefi-gigabyte-s-7-series-lga-1155-boards.html

3) UniBeast USB and OsX Install:
make a UniBeast disk and install OsX acording to the great guide here:
UniBeast 10.8 Guide: http://www.tonymacx86.com/61-unibeast-install-os-x-mountain-lion-any-supported-intel-based-pc.html

4) MultiBeast and initial setup:
Your installation is complete, but it is not bootable. So hold F12 to bring up BIOS, choose the UniBeast USB drive to boot from, then, once in UniBeast interface, choose your OsX install and hit Enter.
SPECIAL NOTE: This is the part where everyone seemed to differ in opinions. It is not very clear which settings to use for which hardware.
The settings posted in the MultiBeast tutorial (screen capture) did not work for me, neither did any other combinations from anyone else in the forums. Here are the items I selected in MultiBeast: (These are the only items i installed, as many of the others caused permanent failure to boot):
1)User DSDT or DSDT- Free Installation
2)Drivers&Bootloaders
>Drivers
>Audio
>Realtek ALC8xx
>WithOUT DSDT
>ALC898
3) >Disk
>3rd Party SATA
4)Customization
>Boot Options
>GraphicsEnabler=No
>System Definitions
>Mac Pro 3,1

It was suggested to me to install a mac driver for the Video card, but so far the graphics are great.
Ethernet works
ICloud works
Air Drop Works
Sound works
Boots up fast and error free.

great! I followed your suggested Multibeast list and installed it!
now my mac can boot from HD! finally!
unluckly it seems i don't have any audio and video resolution cannot be changed (using the onboard video card from Gigabyte mobo)

any help?
thanks

I am unable to get the bootloader menu unless I boot to the USB having the Unibeast. Not sure what step I have missed.

I have the following setup

Windows 8 Pro on SSD
Mountain Lion on a partitioned 1TB hard drive
