Hello!

I have installed mac os mojave 10.14.5 with its great guides and tools. The truth, everything has gone perfect ... Except two things.

I have no way to connect via wifi (which gives a bit the same, since I can connect via ethernet), or bluetooth (this bothers me more).

It is assumed (from what I have been reading) that in Mojave (10.14) Apple deleted a kext and that for this reason these utilities are not, and such ...

I have tried installing AirPortAtheros40 and an Atheros compatible with 10.14.5, but nothing.

I have a motherboard Asus Rog Maximus Hero X, and in addition, a usb TP Link Archer T2U, so at least wifi connection should have, right?

Of course, I installed the TP Link Archer T2U drivers.

What should I do?

Thank you very much for the help!

Hi there.

Okay, well Asus do not seem to state which wi-fi chip they use. If you know it is Atheros, that is fine. Very often motherboard manufacturers use Intel and there are no drivers available for macOS.

The TP-Link T2U works well - I have one - BUT the drivers are not certified for 10.14 Mojave. You should check your security settings to see if they are able to run.

Use System Report to identify your motherboard wi-fi chipset and then check if the TP-Link is recognised as well.

Once we know that we might be able to help more...

:)

Hello! Thank you very much for your quick response.

I'm not 100% sure it's atheros.

I also have not found how to find out which chipset uses the motherboard for wifi (asus ...)

I have also followed the instructions here: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/broadcom-wifi-bluetooth-guide.242423/ but I still do not have wifi / bluetooth

About TP Link, it is assumed that the driver that I installed should be compatible. (It's the first one in the capture, the second is a "beta")

I attach my system report. I have not found anything on the motherboard, but I think if it recognizes the TP Link usb. (in the previous message, the small screenshot, is of an icon that appeared to me after installing the TP drivers, it says "There is no wireless NIC connected".

Again,
Thank you very much for the help!

I have many extensions that I think are related to wifi and bluetooth that aren't loaded. Could that be the fault? how do I solve it?

Thanks!
