Of course, my pleasure.
I know this is unusual, and I appreciate your willingness to help with this oddity. Screen Shot 2018-03-12 at 8.09.02 PM.pngScreen Shot 2018-03-12 at 8.09.07 PM.png

Hey, I'm new to the Hackintosh world. It's my first build, everything was ok till I tried to make the audio work. I read through many posts and tried a lot of methods, the sound worked only once.... and disappeared after reboot. Its more then I can do at this level. Can you offer any advice? (Realtek alc1220)

IOReg shows headphones plugged in.
Post #1/Speakers/2. Select System Preferences/Sound/Output/Internal Speakers
  1. If Headphones appears instead of Internal Speakers ...
Headphones mute Motherboard /Green port

I knew that. the problem isnt that I am unable to hear sounds. The issue i am having is that i can ONLY hear static or interference. like when you turn the radio to a station with no signal. I get this issue in the headphones when they are plugged in, and on my speakers when the headphones are not plugged in. the sound is the same with headphones in or out.

I have reinstalled OS several times now because when i made your changes to my config file, it stopped booting properly.

Could it be the graphics card or motherboard? My sound worked flawlessly before installing the graphics card.

Thanks again

It is not an audio problem.
Your system is compromised. The changes requested were never booted and clearly not the reason for your boot problems. No idea what is broken or why.

1. I don't have sound
2. macOS 10.13.4 (17E199)
3.
I don't have Windows Realtec driver installed
I tried different audio ports
I tried headphone jack and my intrenal speaker device name changed to headphone but still no audio
I tried with iTunes and VLC

2. Green mother board
3. Line Out, But I tried all of them
9. I did :D

EDIT ------

I just disabled nvidia card with `nv-disable=1` Sounds back!
What's wrong?!
NVIDIA driver block my audio?!

EDIT 2 ----

I installed VoodooHDA from Multibeast HDMI and sounds working now, but other audio jacks not working.

I also noticed a crackling / inconsistent audio after installing windows 10, took me a little longer than I would have liked to have realised that was the reason for it breaking ... hopefully the below will help somebody.

Removing Realtek drivers from W10 didn't solve this.

Not quite sure how you removed this, but I did the following which restored sound.

  1. Dual booting OS X/Windows: may impair audio in macOS; credit Tsunade, fix:
    1. Uninstall Realtek Audio driver, use Microsoft Sound driver

Boot into Windows
1.
Go to "Control Panel" > "Device Manager"
2. Expand Audio Devices
3. Remove all of the audio devices
4. Go to "Control Panel" > "Programs and Features"
5. Uninstall Realtek Audio Driver
6. Restart

Boot into Windows
1.
Confirm audio is still working, it should not display Realtek audio anywhere.
2. Restart

Boot into macOS
1.
Confirm audio is working

If it's still not working please refer to these posts:

I just realize another thing. if I use headphones like iPhone headphone (3mm jack) or Samsung headphones the sound working. On green and front jack, both working. but when I connect my Asus monitor's Speaker jack the sound will not played.

I attached a photo of my jacks:
