No sound after removing voodooHDA

hey guys, so i originally had a kernel panic after installing voodooHDA, so since i've removed it my macbook pro 2011 no longer has any sound. i can adjust the volume like normal, although no sound even comes out (speaker and headphones/earphones = none).
do i install some kind of new audio driver ? if so, which one ? and any tips beforehand ? (like removing AppleHDA.kext before installing)
