I recently built a CustoMac Pro Socket 2011 using the parts list from the August buyer's guide.
Everything is working well except Mac OS doesn't detect any audio devices, regardless of the port they are
plugged in to. I am not sure if this could be related, but I also can only play the first 11 seconds of
videos on YouTube. I also had to use the boot flag npci=x2000 for the system to boot, and I sometimes
receive the error "The system extension “/System/Library/Extensions/VoodooHDA.kext” was installed
improperly and cannot be used. Please try reinstalling it, or contact the product’s vendor for an update."
I used the proper RealTek audio codec for my motherboard, and installed the 9 series motherboard audio
patch using MultiBeast. I later tryed the VoodooHDA kext to see if that would help, but I stiil can't
recognize devices.
Any help is much appreciated. Thank you!
