No audio!

boot using iboot , remove extra and empty trash ,download dsdt for your bios version place to desktop run multi beast (latest ) check user dsdt \ system utility \ alc8xxx and apple hda rollback \ 64 bit apple boot \ chimera . run reboot

On your screenshot it looks like your Bios is resetted to the defaults (...No HPET avail...).
Please control your Bios settings

Using iboot, I am logged in.

I have removed the files in extra\extensions and run MB checking what Hacman suggested.
About to reboot.

Well, dang. it is worse now. I get this panic screen....

False alarm....
I rebooted again and it allowed me to log on without the iboot disc... but, no sound.

I see that I do get sound when I am logged on with iboot.

Does that help narrow down the problem?

Still no sound.
So to do this 'correctly' do I delete the alc...kext file if I want to try to install the 888 version?
Or can I post anything that will help to identify the issue?
