Read Post #1 of the linked thread. The patch does the edit. Unless you are an ACPI expert, use the tool. AppleHDA.kext is not an enabler, a patched version is required for OS X audio. Post the dsdt after the HDEF edit.

Ok! So I was of course overthinking this, and I finally understood the guide properly. So I did precisely what the guide said and got it all working! Thanks much toleda for all your work into this thread.

Now I have to solve my problem of "Waiting for graphics accelerator to start" haha.

Let me know if you want me to post the final working dsdt.aml

Ok- After Yosemite update I can't get sound back. Here goes:

3. Upgrade from Mavericks per Tonymac thread, ran Multibeast w/ typical 889 driver install as per past updates
4. Attached IOReg
5. AppleHDA.Kext version: 267.0-toledaALC889 November 17, 2014
6. none

boot.plist is not boot log
Attach dsdt and boot Log

Revised post, has the boot log and the DSDT called out there (from Extra) attached. thanks!

3 injections installed, only one is required.
Use dsdt injection, remove:
1. S/L/E/HDAEnabler1.kext
2. E/org.chameleon.Boot.plist/HDAEnabler & HDEFLayoutID
Reply with new IOReg.

Update:

RESOLVED! Thank you! After following your instructions I reviewed the IOReg and saw a strange device ID. Ran Multibeast with 889 driver and now all is good. On to resolving TRIM and eventually iMessage. Thanks again.

No audio devices after driver removal on windows side of dual-boot.

Symptom: HDEF/layout-id/<00 00 00 00>
Problem: org.chameleon.Boot/plist is damaged, repair. (Xcode, Property List Editor, etc.)
