Not native, cannot be used with El Capitan. Install native AppleHDA.kext, see Post #1:
Realtek ALC AppleHDA Installation
2. Native AppleHDA

Strange, not sure what happened. Followed the guide and extracted Native AppleHDA via Pacifist. Installed AppleHDA and rebooted. No luck. Then booted to backup partition and ran multibeast with ALC892 codec only selected. Rebooted and still no luck. Both AppleHDA have been attached for inspection. Could it be that my installer has a bad AppleHDA?

Hi toleda, hi everyone!

First off, apologies if the solution to my problem has already been posted here on in another thread;
please forgive me for not scanning 100+ pages.

A little intro to my problem: friend of mine helped me set up Yosemite using Clover some month ago, somehow we left out audio and I haven't been able to figure it out yet. So here's my info:

No audio devices found
Yosemite 10.10.5/GA Z87X-UD5H/10c/i7 4790K/GTX 760
Sorry, can't remember

Installed IOReg but it's not responding

Clover (if installed)

  1. attached
  2. misc folder empty
  3. EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched/ empty
  4. EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched/ empty

If you need further info, please tell me and also state where I can get it.
I'd be very thankful even for a hint to another post/thread.

Thanks very much in advance and have a great new year!

Kawika
