No Audio Devices - Realtek ALC AppleHDA [Guide]

Status
Not open for further replies.
Audio controller is disabled in BIOS. Clean install.

I doubled checked to make sure it's enabled. It was on Auto, so I put it to Enabled.
It doesn't make a difference.

Same here,

got eventually a HDEF entry with the kext enabler and the dsdt patch method, but nothing more. No Codec-ID on the DCPI Manager. I was not able to run the respective clover scripts because of "no codec" error...

With VoodooHDA Enabler, I got a proper codec entry in the DCPI Manager, but no Audio on any port...

Software won't work when it does not see the hardware.

I understand that.
What could be making OS X not see my audio hardware?
Windows, but more importantly, Linux, see the hardware just fine.
That's the only thing that doesn't make sense to me.
Is there a way to at least get the Nvidia HDMI audio working?

*Edit*
So I boot into OS X 10.10.1 today, and eventually decided to look in DPCIManager.
It was showing my codec!?!?
I ran the audio_cloverALC-100_v1.0.4 2.command and I now have working audio!
The only thing I can say is, I downloaded an App from the App Store, and I got an e-mail from Apple saying I'm using a new device with my Apple ID. I can only assume it has something to do with that.

Thanks for all the help toleda.

Hi, I've been looking for ways on making my laptop 100% working with hackintosh, as of this time I think im on 80%. One of my hurdles is the audio. I'm using Sony Vaio VPCCW21fx with chipset ALC262. I've been searching everywhere, trying all settings and kext but didn't have success. Right now I'm using voodoo kext for audio which is not a proper replacement for applehda. Can someone point out which direction I have to go through? Thanks!

Hello,

I built my Hackintosh a couple months back and everything works besides the audio. I wasn't able to find the solution so I was wondering if someone could help me!

1. Description of proble: I can't use the audio built-in in the motherboard. I have to go through an audio interface. Audio codec in DPCI manager appears but named in Hexa. (no codec ID)
2. OSX Yosemite, Asus Sabertooh x79, Intel core i7-4930K, GTX760
3. Installed with Multibeast
