Both AppleHDA and AppleHDAController must load. If not, run the installer over the current installer. Restart. If AppleHDA does not load, clean install required. If AppleHDA is loading, attach new files.

Hello, I am having much difficulty getting audio device to show up.

10.13.6 (17G3025)
Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Pro / i9 9900k / GTX 1080x2
Onboard audio enabled in BIOS (ALC1220)

Followed the procedure outlined at the beginning of this thread and various other threads
At some point applied ssdt_hdef-2-100-hdas

Thanks in advance for any help.

New install, i.e., Mojave, requires audio install; no audio installed

It's working now. Instead of copying Lilu.kext and AppleALC.kext to /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other, I used KextBeast to install them in /Library/Extensions. I also used the next versions (Lilu 1.2.8 and AppleALC 1.3.8). Thanks for your help.

Set config.plist/Devices/Audio/Inject/1
Restart, reply with new files

Audio Inject set to 1, restarted. Attached are the new files.

   MacOS Mojave 10.14.1 / HP Z420 / BIOS 3.94 / E5v2-2670 / RX 580 4GB/SM961 512G nvme
3. Procedure/Guide Used:
   Mojave AppleHDA Audio

New installing High Sierra or Moajve 10.14 as seem problem. DSDT was patched Syntaxes only.

Hi toleda,(moving from mojave thread)
please help me with the audio problem - I have no audio device in sound preferences
I followed your AppleALC guide:
ALC892 - Mojave updated from High Sierra (but I was not dealing with sound - no fix was tried, used)
Mojave 10.14.1/ 6 series MB - dh61ag / i7 3770S / HD4000 GPU, nvidia GTX750 (not using because of lack of webdriver) / No DSDT.aml
AppleALC guide:

• used vanilla AppleHDA from my wifes mojave mac
• installed latest lilu, AppleALC kexts to 10.14 folder
• set layout for ALC892 - 1,2 (nothing worked)
• rebuilt cache
• restart few times / cold boot

No device in input/output. No device in System information/harware/audio

I did a clean installation and i had exactly the same problem with appleHDA .

No audio until fixed.
