No Audio Devices - AppleHDA Realtek Audio

macOS does not see the audio codec, see attached DPCIManager/Status screenshot
Verify BIOS/.../Onboard Devices Configuration/HD Audio Controller/Enabled or similar

Thank you Toleda,
I went in my Bios and turned on "Audio Controller" (See attached)
Also now that is it "Enabled" there is a 2nd audio device with no codec.

I tried mounting and relaunching clover ALC but still same output.

Thank you Kind Sir

You should download and install the latest version Lilu.kext. The experts suggest /L/E, both work.
Sound is working now (yippy!) with the latest file in /L/E. Somehow I had an old version in /L/E and a new one in EFI and the /L/E was taking precedence. Thank you very much for your patience.

Remove audio enabler kext/HDAEnabler1.kext or similar
Set config.plist/DSDT/Fixes/YES, all to NO (unless there is something you know you need)
Restart, reply with new files

Removed /System/Library/Extensions/HDAEnabler1.kext
Set all of the config.plist/DSDT/Fixes/ that were set to YES to NO

Rebooted system and AUDIO is back and Working!!!!

Many Thanks Toleda!!!

Hi Toleda,

I got it pass no audio (I think but something else broke) after reading some of your post and did the following steps.
  1. I cleaned all of the L/E, S/L/E extra kext, tried method 2 (Quick Fix: Z370/200/X299/ Series Kaby Lake Audio, Onboard and/or HD 6x0 HDMI), used kext beast to insert FakePCI and FakePCIIntel kext in L/E > Hurray I now see my "LG Screen Output" in Audio Device
  2. It now shows Coded "Nvidia" in DPCIMANAGER next to my audio device.
  3. I mounted EFI, I then launch ALCCommand:
  4. Ask me if I wanted to continue > Yes
  5. ALC Codec? Typed:887
  6. 887 version not support do you want to continue? Yes
  7. Audio ID is 7, not supported do you want to continue? Yes (This one is awkward because I'm 100% sure my Device Inject Audio is 1, double checked on that and it was 1)
  8. Select audio ID > 1
  9. Result = Kernel Panic Error > After reading some post, I rebooted using "-x" and "Remove Boot Argument" + I restored the native AppleHDA.kext

Not sure what to do now, a bit lost.
Thank you,

Attached are the all the files again.

AppleHDA.kext is severely damaged and useless (10KB, s/b 4 MB). Restore native AppleHDA.kext
Restart, reply with new files

Thanks for the response Toleda. While I was restoring the native AppleHDA I totally screwed up my entire boot disk (deleted an entire folder via terminal lol) Anyways, I thankfully had a recent backup, so restored, and got what I believe should be the native AppleHDA (it's 4mb now) back again. Still no audio devices showing. I've updated the files in the attached compressed folder.

Thanks!

Audio ID is 7
boot log and IOReg missing
Legacy is not correct.
Audio ID = 7 only when AppleALC.kext is installed
cloverALC.command and AppleALC.kext are incompatible; one or the other, not both
AppleAHDA.kext is not native, restore native AppleHDA.kext
AppleHDA123.kext is incompatible with both cloverALC of AppleALC, remove
Suggest run macOS installer over current installation, do not install audio
Restart, reply with new files

no audio devices showing
HDAS, 2 methods installed, remove one
a. config.plist/ACPI/DSDT/Patches/Item 0 (Rename HDAS to HDEF)
b. EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched/SSDT-HDEF-HDAS-1.aml

config.plist/KernelAndKextPatches/KextsToPatch/, 2 patches disabled, set to NO:

I have audio options! I don't have HDMI, but we're headed in the right direction!

I removed the SSDT-HDEF-HDAS-1.aml and re-enabled the patches that were disabled.

I've updated the files, and attached them. Thanks for the help Toleda.

I've been here before, but still never made it work, so additional help would be greatly appreciated!
