Green port uses external amp, no AppleHDA.kext support
Black port uses audio codec amps, AppleHDA.kext support
For external amp support, try RehabMan / OS-X-EAPD-Codec-Commander
Front panel/green will work.is there any benefit to trying the external amp support?
