Wow- more new NVIDIA drivers from the manufacturer's site. Netkas says the 580 works oob.
Download the driver pack: http://www.nvidia.com/object/macosx-270 ... river.html
You must have Mac Pro system definition and be on 10.7.3 to use the package. Post your benchmarks before and after here. Testing is underway!

UPDATE 2012-03-18:
We are not recommending users install these for the following reasons:
1) The kexts Apple ships in 10.7.3 are version 270.05.20f02. These kexts are version 270.00.00f01. So the Apple kexts are a newer version.
2) These kexts are benchmarking the same or slighly lower than the Apple kexts.
3) OpenCL is still NOT enabled for Fermi cards in this release without patching.
4) It's only advantage over the Apple shipped kexts is there is no need patch the kexts to add the 560/570/580 device ids.
MacMan's 10.7.2 / 10.7.3 OpenCL Enabler introduced in MultiBeast 4.3.0 does patch the Apple shipped kexts to add the 560/570/580 device ids and enables OpenCL on all Fermi based cards.
